SELECTED THREE THEMES FOR ESTEAM MOBILE APPLICATION

The main goal of the ESTEAM project (Enhancement of School TEAching Methods by linking between schools, experts and geoparks in the combnation with outdoor activities and ICT technologies) is to make a mobile application, that will combine teaching and learning in classrooms with outdoor teaching and learning. In the mobile application we will include all the teaching methodologies that pupils and teachers would like to use, which was found out by the research in the first part of the project, thus improving the teaching process of natural science in elementary schools.

Already before the 3rd Partner Meeting, held in Magma UNESCO Global Geopark in Norway, we selected three main themes that were confirmed during the meeting.

The three selected topics are:

- GEOLOGY

- ECOLOGY

- MEN AND BIOSPHERE

We have further divided these topics into three sub-themes, which will be the subject of further collection and preparation of content for the mobile application. By the end of 2017 we have ambitious plan, that includes:

- collecting multisensory contents

- development of exercises

- collection of geolocation games in combination with outdoor activities

- collecting examples in everyday life

- marking geolocation on the map and associated content

- development of tasks for knowledge testing and repetition
